EPA Products
As Stated In The…
BS EN 61340-5-1 Standard, the boundaries and entrances to an EPA must be clearly defined. In addition, seemingly innocuous products such as document folders and waste material can easily be ignored at extreme risk to the effectiveness of the EPA. ESD warning signs alert everyone to the presence of an EPA and document handling systems can help to eliminate the risk of ESD being created by documentation movement.
By using effective control measures, the integrity of the EPA can easily be retained and the problems associated with ESD avoided.
BS EN 61340-5-1 states that paperwork inside the EPA shall either be kept in packaging suitable for ESDS or low charging, or shall not generate a field in excess of 10kV/m or an electrostatic potential over 100V.
